Join us at ATCO Gas as a temporary Scheduler within our Shop Services and Support Services teams. The Scheduler receives Work Order's and ensures required resources, services, materials, and equipment are available the date the work is to be completed; communicating frequently through a variety of channels to ensure schedules or any changes to schedules are understood.

What You Get to Do:

  • Proactively schedules resources, services, materials and equipment based on the date required to execute the work.
  • Coordinates or finalizes locates, permits, third party services (e.g hydrovac) as detailed in the Work Order.
  • Utilizes appropriate system(s) and process(es) to schedule the information received in a Work Order.
  • Communicates frequently with Planners, Foreman, Dispatchers, Schedulers, Operators and Others to ensure schedule is understood by all stakeholders and incorporates any changes to Work Orders as required.
  • Schedules work to an individual or crew and making necessary changes based on resource availability.
  • Considers safety, environmental and business priorities.

What You Bring:

  • Grade 12 or G.E.D.
  • Strong computer skills are required. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in a variety of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making skills, good verbal and written communication skills, learning ability, initiative, responsible work habits and the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work and problem solve under tight deadlines and constraints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize and coordinate with in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Knowledge of Service, Construction, and/or Field Operations would be an asset.
