As a Front Office Clerk, you are responsible for answering telephone inquiries from physicians, LHSC staff and patients. You will support with troubleshooting and correcting order entry errors, initiating patient recalls and communicating with couriers and physicians regarding specimen transportation. Additionally, you will support the Specimen Processing department. Status: Part time (20 hours/week) Hours of Work: Mon - Fri, 10am - 2pm. Flexible schedule required for additional vacation and sick coverage. Liaison with courier team regarding daily Provider office pick ups What YOU bring to the role: High School Diploma required Basic to intermediate knowledge of medical terminology Experience in customer service required (minimum 3 years) MOA certification an asset Prioritize and self-manage within a deadline-oriented environment Strong problem solving and issues resolution abilities Ability to perform under pressure, and meet tight deadlines Capability to apply interpersonal and communication skills and techniques to interact effectively with others at all levels within Dynacare Knowledge of MS Office Suite Knowledge of LIS systems is an asset Ability to type 40 wpm Working Conditions Normal office environment Medical laboratory environment May sit or stand for prolonged period of time with extensive computer use Pay rate: $19.00-$22.75 per hour The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education requirements.
