PT Meat Clerk (Stonebridge Food #330) Saskatoon, SK - Saskatoon Co-op

Reporting to the Meat Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following: 1. To provide information, assistance and courteous service to customers. Promote the sale of merchandise at all times. 2. To advise Department Manager of specials or out-of-stock merchandise requested by customers. 3. To adjust minor complaints in keeping with general sales policy and to refer more serious complaints to the Department Manager. 4. To prepare, wrap, price, stock and price check merchandise as assigned. 5. To unpack and check merchandise as assigned. Check codes, dates. 6. To display all types of meat according to the Departmental procedures, ensuring proper rotation; freshness and full at all times. 7. To observe safety measures and report hazardous conditions immediately to the Department Manager. 8. To place orders for replenishment of inventory as required. 9. To assist in stocktaking as required. 10. To operate equipment necessary to prepare merchandise for sale. 11. To perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties as per Association standards. 12. To provide proper maintenance of equipment, monitor case temperatures, clean equipment regularly and notify supervisor in reference to repairs. 13. Other duties as assigned. The Meat Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and stocking meat products, and maintaining department cleanliness. They must also monitor inventory levels, ensure proper food rotation, and adhere to all safety and sanitation standards.

Candidates must be strongly service-oriented and capable of working a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. A combination of relevant education and experience is considered for this role.
