Reporting to the Store Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following: 1. To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude. 2. To be dependable for all scheduled shifts. 3. To provide outstanding courteous customer service. 4. To stock, display and merchandise as per Saskatoon Co-op Policy and Procedures. 5. To maintain a neat, clean, and orderly location at all times. 6. To perform order receiving duties when required. 7. To operate and maintain the forklift, pallet jack, and other equipment in a safe and responsible manner. 8. To perform opening and closing procedures. 9. To be responsible in the area of Loss Prevention. 10. To effectively operate the point-of-sale system and have an understanding of the back-office functions. 11. To be familiar with and adhere to all Saskatoon Co-op Policies and Procedures. 12. To provide pump assistance as required. 13. To be responsible for administrative duties as assigned by the store manager. 14. To perform the necessary daily reconciliations and reports, as directed by the store manager. 15. To be responsible for general maintenance and equipment up-keep, as directed by the store manager. 16. If 19+ years of age, must be willing to contribute to the sales of Liquor products. 17. Must be comfortable in handling and preparing/serving, fresh food, 18. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Must be at least 19 years of age. * Have or willing to obtain Serve It Right Saskatchewan. * Must possess sufficient knowledge and experience of merchandise handled to effectively operate the section(s) assigned. * Must be familiar with all lines of merchandise handled by the site. * Must have strong communication skills, be service-oriented and motivated, and be capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner. * Be prepared to increase product knowledge and improve merchandising techniques through special courses, product clinics and seminars and training sessions. * Must be able to work with minimum supervision and direction while achieving a high level of production. * Physical ability to handle the work to be assigned. * If 19+ Years of Age, must have Serve it Right designation or be willing to obtain the certificate. * Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. *a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
