CareRx is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant L2 (Prescription Entry Experience Required, Kroll experience preferred) to join our Pharmacy team in supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities. The Pharmacy Assistant will assist with preparing, processing, and filling new prescriptions using eMAR systems and Kroll pharmacy software, including handling refills and third-party adjudications as well as the preparation, packaging and organization of medication deliveries, while supporting daily operations in accordance with the Pharmacy Standards of Practice. Role Accountabilities: * Ensure precise record-keeping and prescription information from nursing staff is filled via dispensary software * Prepare medication for compliance packaging and maintain workflow for receiving and processing prescriptions within timelines. * Assist with pharmacy inventory management and potentially operate automated dispensing machine (PacMed) for processing and filling prescriptions * Manage returns and expired products from nursing homes, including unpacking, sorting and disposal of medications * Preparing creams and liquids, and generate daily and weekly production reports * Maintain stock levels, reorder medications, and prepare both manual and automated compliance packaging. * Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment What You Will Bring to The Team: * Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification from an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program is preferred, but not required - training will be provided for the position * Experience with KROLL and/or PacMed an asset * Visual acuity, numeracy, detail oriented, manual dexterity required for appropriate handling of strip packs, prescription bottles and labels * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented See what one of our current Pharmacy Assistants has to say about working at CareRx "Since joining CareRx 1.5 years ago, I’ve had the chance to take on new challenges and grow in my role. Location: This is on-site role at our 3287 32 Street N Lethbridge, AB T1H7A3 and follows a five-day workweek with participation in on-call rotation for weekends.
