The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Clerk 2 for the Women’s General Forensic Unit and the Forensic Brief Assessment unit. Reporting to the Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties and working collaboratively with the interprofessional teams. Responsibilities Your responsibilities are but not limited to, providing reception and administrative/clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of the units. The main accountabilities of this position will include updating client databases, tracking and census systems, liaising with Health Records, inputting ADT visits and admissions, maintaining ANSOS and staffing and other coordinating functions as assigned. You will liaise with the Courts, Lawyers, Physicians, and clients to schedule court ordered assessments using I-CARE scheduling and Outlook Calendar. You will also complete various office administrative functions including faxing, photocopying, scheduling meetings, preparation of agendas, taking of minutes, ordering supplies, electronic and paper file management, and document preparation. You will also be responsible for liaising/coordinating with other internal CAMH departments (e.g. IT, Housekeeping, Finance, Procurement, and Maintenance). This position requires direct client contact both in person and over the telephone. Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a Secondary School diploma and/or special courses combined with six months relevant experience. You possess excellent computer skills with a proficiency in word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel and Access), database and statistical programs. Proficient correspondence skills are also required. Respect for confidential information and knowledge of privacy legislation is required. You must have excellent organizational and communication skills, time management skills, customer service in a busy forensic inpatient environment, sound problem-solving skills and have demonstrated the ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic, inter-professional team environment. The ability to work with individuals of diverse ethno racial and cultural backgrounds is required. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
