Job Description AIM is currently looking for a Shipping / Receiving Clerk for the Montreal-East site. Under the supervision of the team leader, you will be responsible for planning and organizing shipping and receiving schedules as well as performing all other related tasks. What you'll be responsible for: Confirming customer visit schedules Working closely with the logistics and transportation department Welcoming customers with courtesy while following our procedures and requirements Participating in unloading materials using different types of machinery (forklift) Sorting and inspecting different types of metals and direct them to the appropriate departments Weighing metals on the scale Performing data entry Qualifications To join our team: You have at least 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving or in an industrial environment You are recognized for your ability to establish and manage priorities in a fast-paced work environment and to make decisions quickly You are able to communicate in French and English (functional) You excel in customer service and communication with a professional attitude You have a basic knowledge of computers and ease with management software You know how to operate a forklift and are comfortable performing physical tasks Additional Information American Iron and Metal (AIM) and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers. What you’ll do
Responsible for planning and organizing shipping and receiving schedules while coordinating with logistics and transportation departments. Tasks include welcoming customers, unloading materials via forklift, sorting metals, and performing data entry.
Requirements
Requires at least 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or an industrial environment. Candidates must be proficient in forklift operation, possess basic computer skills, and be able to communicate in both French and English.
