Job Summary: GDI Ainsworth is currently looking for a Receptionist to join our Surrey, BC office. This role will perform general office administrative tasks and a diverse range of assignments received from Service, Finance and other departments, directed through the Operations Team & Managers. Key Responsibilities: * Apply exceptional interpersonal skills by professionally and warmly greeting each visitor as they come through Ainsworth’s doors. * Apply superior telephone and email etiquette while receiving and directing incoming calls, messages, and emails, performing this with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. * Liaise with answering service to ensure all messages are received and forwarded in a timely and accurate manner. * Assist the Service department with opening service orders, PO matching and vendor reconciliations. * Matching of P-card costs in JDE on a daily basis. * Proficiently process daily, weekly and monthly administrative procedures related to general office duties, including processing of interoffice and external mail, as per company policy and guidelines. * Prepare reports for various departments within the company as required. * Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations * Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures * Adhere to attendance policy and ensure consistent coverage is achieved at the front reception desk * Perform other duties as assigned by Management Qualifications: * High School graduate, Post-Secondary education preferred. * Basic knowledge of accounting systems would be an asset. * Experience working with Great Plains software would be an asset. * Proficient computer efficiency (JDE, Excel, Metrix, MS Office, Outlook, Internet, Adobe Acrobat). * Solid and effective verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise. * Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure. * Proficient with multi-line phone systems and has a proven capacity to learn new programs and processes with extreme efficiency. * Strong work ethic and positive team attitude. * Professional, friendly, exceptional interpersonal skills * Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. * Sound analytical thinking, planning and prioritization skills. * Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. The annual salary is $49,000.00 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data. The base salary is just one component of Ainsworth’s total compensation package, which also includes additional rewards and benefits such as short-term incentives and health insurance, among others.
