Support Technician–Human Resources

Reporting to the Director–Talent and Transformation, you perform administrative support tasks for the team members of the talent and transformation department (organizational development, talent acquisition, internal communications) and the human resources partnership.

Specifically, you:

  • Work with the organizational development advisor to provide administrative follow-up for the Years of Service Recognition Program, by keeping the lists up to date, communicating with suppliers, managers and employees, and ensuring that the gifts are distributed;
  • Support the internal communications team by distributing various types of communication to the staff (online posting, etc.), laying out documents, preparing and compiling employee lists, and helping organize various events; 
  • Support the human resources partnership team by writing, editing, checking and distributing various correspondences, documents and presentations, including letters and documents intended for employees; 
  • Are involved in managing certain talent acquisition processes such as job postings, administering pre-employment tests, SAP and IT access requests when non-unionized staff are hired or moved;
  • Prepare, compile and distribute various reports, files, statistics, dashboards, documents and lists (death notifications, appointments, budget monitoring, etc.);
  • Keep the organization charts up to date;
  • Organize the filing and archiving of documents and keep up to date with that;
  • Make reservations (rooms, meals, vehicles, hotels, etc.) when events are organized and team members travel;
  • Order special communication documents (greeting cards, etc.) and office supplies and manage the inventory of them;
  • Perform various systems access tracking, bill payments, etc.;
  • Greet visitors;
  • Perform any other associated tasks, as needed.


  • A secondary school vocational diploma (DEP) or a diploma of college studies (DCS) in secretarial arts or office automation;
  • Three to five years of experience, preferably in a human resource or labour relations department.


  • Very good knowledge of the programs in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP (considered an asset);
  • Exhibit independence and initiative;
  • Be organized and have the ability to set priorities;
  • Be thorough and exhibit discretion.
