Type of position: Regular


Reporting to the Department Manager, Energy and Air Quality, the incumbent will play a key role in developing the department to assist industrial companies in obtaining financial assistance, grants and tax credits offered by the provincial and federal governments. The incumbent must have excellent knowledge of government agencies and levels as well as the steps to take and requirements to obtain financial aid, grants and tax credits. The incumbent will also work closely with project team members, those responsible for structuring decarbonization initiatives at BBA and clients.

Main responsibilities

  • Support clients in preparing applications for government financial assistance.
  • Monitor new programs, grants and available tax credits and budget cycles.
  • Attend external partner events to keep abreast of the latest developments.
  • Understand the business context and impact of programs on client operations.
  • Give advice on innovations and compliance efforts.
  • Help develop a short- and medium-term development plan.
  • Perform business development and advocacy activities.
  • Manage relationships with external partners like clients, organizations and levels of government.
  • Manage relationships and maintain ongoing and efficient communication with all stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.


  • Solid team player and ability to synthesize

  • At least five years of experience in the financial aid field
  • Excellent knowledge of government financial aid
  • Excellent knowledge of the energy and greenhouse gas markets
  • Excellent knowledge of programs like: Transition énergétique Québec, Société de financement et d’accompagnement en performance énergétique (SOFIAC), Fonds Écoleader and the Smart Renewables and Electrification Pathways Program
  • Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written
  • Asset: knowledge of the industrial sector
  • Asset: experience in consulting engineering
