The NRBHSS' mission is to contribute to the development, improvement and maintenance of the Nunavik population's health and well-being and to ensure access to health and social services adapted to the population's needs and particularities. This mission is pursued in close collaboration with the health centres, community organizations and partners in the economic, social, cultural, education and municipal sectors of the Nunavik region. The NRBHSS seeks to fill the following position:

Under the authority of the assistant to the director of Administrative Services, the administrative technician in logistics shall ensure proper functioning of logistical activities, including:

Employee arrivals and departures:

  • Organizing pre-departure orientation sessions for new employees;
  • Reserving airfare (new employees and those at end of employment); 
  • Planning arrangements for moving employees' personal effects (South-North and NorthSouth), including cargo;
  • Checks and ensures the availability of accommodation for the new occupant; 
  • Ensuring transportation to and from the airport (new employees and those at end of employment).

Housing committee:

  • Posting available accommodations and contacts employees who have been assigned to accommodation by the Committee, if applicable; 
  • Receiving housing applications and sending information to members of the housing committee;
  • Preparing meetings of the housing committee, taking meeting minutes;
  • Following up with payroll concerning rent payments;
  • Controlling keys to housing units;
  • Visiting housing units upon employee arrivals and departures, identifying work required on units;

Department of Administrative Services:

  • Acting as principal user of the TMS (Travel Management System);
  • Contributing to logistics for office space;
  • Ensuring management of schedules for household maintenance of office buildings, housing and transits;
  • Ensuring management of transit reservations;
  • Taking notes for meetings and drafting of resolutions;
  • Ordering supplies for housing and the Department of Administrative Services.

Moreover, the technician shall assume general administrative responsibilities in accordance with the department's needs.

Qualifications:

  • DEC in office automation or other appropriate discipline. However, a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered;
  • Relevant experience of at least three (3) years in similar tasks;
  • Familiarity with the health network shall be considered an asset;
  • Mastery of French and English (oral and written); Inuktitut shall be considered a major asset;
  • Mastery of the Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); familiarity with TEAMS;
  • Good sense of client service and team work and skills in communication and management of priorities;
  • Professional approach, attention to detail, excellent judgment and capacity for adaptation to change.

Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) shall receive priority.

Conditions and benefits:

  • Temporary, full-time (35 hours/week) position of 12 months located at Kuujjuaq;
  • Salary in accordance with MSSS rules;
  • Isolation premium of $10,015/yearn, cost-of-living allowance of $3,085/year and retention premium of $6,000/year;
  • If hired more than 50 km from Kuujjuaq, moving expenses reimbursed;
  • Furnished housing provided; 
  • Three or four annual personal trips to point of hiring provided depending on family status;
  • Four weeks' vacation starting in the first year of employment;
