Description

The Sr. Medical Copywriter is a unicorn in the world of healthcare creativity. They are equal parts scientific champion and creative writer full of big ideas. The Sr. Copywriter is responsible for the delivery of motivational copy and content, conceptualizing powerful marketing tools, and developing big ideas for their assigned accounts. They work side-by-side with their Art Director partner, and together they work closely with ACDs for guidance as they conceptualize ideas and produce flawless executions. The Sr. Copywriter is the front-line champion of the creative product and upholds the creative standards of the agency set by the Executive Creative Director. They work closely with the other disciplines across the agency to deliver and exceeding client expectations.

General and Daily Responsibilities:

  • Be the champion for award-worthy work
  • Conceptualize, develop, and produce original creative from inception through to execution
  • Ensure consistency in tone and messaging for all copy and content for their assigned accounts
  • Work collaboratively with the account group, brand strategy, medical, and media to provide meaningful communications to clients.
  • Present concepts to VP, Creative Director and EVP, Executive Creative Director for internal guidance and approval
  • Lead creative presentations of approved work to clients where required
  • Work with ACDs and Producers to source and select production partners
  • Stay up-to-date on latest trends, talent and competitive work and share that with the creative team

Qualification Requirements

  • 5+ years of copywriting experience in a fast-paced ad agency
  • An amazing portfolio of work that clearly demonstrates an understanding of break-through healthcare focused creative, full of copy that "brings all the feels"
  • A demonstrated understanding of creative awards
  • Experience in both DTC and HCP healthcare advertising is an asset
  • An intimate understanding of Canadian healthcare advertising regulations PAAB and ASC
  • A successful track record of stand-out creative within regulations
  • Experience with print/web/TV production, functionality, information architecture, navigation, email marketing standards, and interactive design principles

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $105,000 to $125,000 CAD. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
