School District No. 35 (Langley) is looking for a talented Executive Assistant – Human Resources (Exempt) to join the District’s existing team of leaders who work collaboratively to maintain a healthy, safe, and positive learning environment for all students and staff. 

The opportunity:
Reporting to the Director – Human Resources, the Executive Assistant role is primarily responsible for performing a variety of complex clerical and administrative duties: managing office correspondence and communications including the Human Resources information on the District website, organizing and maintaining document filing and record-keeping, coordinating activities and scheduling meetings, and researching and preparing information on given topics. As one of the top-3 fastest growing school districts in the province over recent years, this is an exciting time to join Langley! Through this work, the Executive Assistant will be handling administrative projects that have a direct impact on students, staff, and the community, and will leave a legacy for future generations.

What you bring:
    Completion of post-secondary courses in Business Administration and have five (5) years of related experience supporting a senior manager in an educational or public sector environment.  
    You will also possess exemplary keyboarding and computer skills along with excellent oral and written communication skills.
    Excellent administrative, organizational, planning, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
    A proven ability to take initiative and work independently under pressure. 
    Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
    Proven understanding and demonstration of discretion in dealing with matters of a confidential and sensitive nature and represents the values, mandate and policies of the Human Resources Department.
    Valid BC Driver’s License.
